Motor Online E-Covernotes Launched

Beginning from the 1st January 2005, Jabatan Pengangkutan dan Jalanraya (JPJ) has implemented E-Covernotes to facilitate Online registration of Motor Cover Notes. This was a government effort to promote online systems throughout the Insurance industries and to gear the country towards a paperless environment. This strategic move was done to provide speedier services for Cover Notes processing. JPJ has made it compulsory that manual cover notes were no longer accepted.

In view of this, MUI Continental Insurance Berhad has acquired the necessary facilities to ensure that our Agents are able to transact Motor Cover Notes online as well. Before the implementation, Our Agents have been duly notified of the governments move on this matter and have provided adequate training to our Agents to ensure a smooth transition from manual cover notes to an Online system.

All MCI Agents are given a login ID to log onto our Portal Online at a specific web address. Once verification of the login ID and password is confirmed, our agents will be able to key in covernote entries online.

How to get a login ID?

1) Firstly only MUI Continental Insurance Agents are given this facility
2) The website may be accessible from any media that has a connection to the internet
3) MCI Agents must first register a letter of application for E-Covernote Service to MCI Marketers or MCI Office.
4) Upon acceptance and signing of User Registration and Privacy Agreements between MCI and the Agent, A unique ID will be allocated to the said Agent.
5) Once the Agent has logged in, they may begin entering relevant information for covernote submission to JPJ online.

Future Expansion

Currently MCI has only opened up Motor E-Covernote registration online, however we are in the midst of preparing for online registration of other classes other than Motor class to our Agents in the near future.
