Employer's Liability Insurance

Introduction

Workmen's Compensation Insurance shows how liability may attach to the Employer when the injury or disease is caused by an accident to the employee arising during the course of employment. For those categories of employees not protected by the Workmen's Compensation Acts or Socso, liability under the law still exists and the Employer can obtain indemnity under the Employer's Liability Policy.

Scope of Cover

The policy indemnifies the Insured against liability under the law to pay compensation and claimant's costs and expenses in respect of the injury for which he is liable and in addition to pay all costs and expenses with the Company's written consent.

Geographical Area

Malaysia

Principal Exclusions

• Employees of sub-contractors
• Injury sustained outside the Geographical Area
• Compensation to pay under Workmen's Compensation laws.
• War exclusions.
